Most Popular Gifts for New U.S. Citizens

There are many great gifts to give a friend or relative who has just become a new, naturalized American Citizen. One of the most popular gifts for new naturalized American citizens upon receiving their citizenship for the first time has proven to be a most unique one; "land" in the United States via a Deed to the USA.

This very unique gift of land - of owning a very small piece of land, is something that is very much fun, and can be very significant as well for new citizens. Imagine the excitement they'll experience when, right after becoming a new naturalized citizen they also receive land - just small sections - in the country that they have just become a citizen. This is a great symbolic way to make sure that they really can shout out their new citizenship. Sure they're very small...a postage stamp sized plot of land but it's a very appropriate and thoughtful gesture. They'll be sure to love it and keep it as long as they live.

These symbolic gifts come printed framed or on a plaque personalized with the new citizen’s name and a one-of-a-kind property registration number. The land is representative of all the land in the USA. There are mountains, prairies, some desert in Nevada, woods, and land in the Texas panhandle. Each Deed comes with a free New Citizen Certificate as well that also can be framed.
What at first glance might sound simply like a whimsical concept is indeed much more. The significance this item holds is intense. Proud new citizens by the thousands have been thrilled with this special gift to memorialize their most important of days. It's a very appropriate and meaningful present for anyone just obtaining their American citizenship.
There are many of other popular gifts that you might want to consider for a "new citizen gift." You might want to give someone a great one-time life experience that they will always remember, like a hot air balloon ride over their new country. Or, you might want to give them a set of United States postage stamps made from one of their memorable photographs or one of your photos...perhaps on the day they became a US Citizen, or a great Ball Park Pen because baseball if the great American pastime sport.
Even things like personalized magazine covers and book jackets can make good unique new citizen gifts. Also great gifts could include gifting a part of McDonalds, Pepsi Cola, Coca Cola, or Nathan Frankfurters- what can be more American than owning one share of these companies? These companies are available one single share at a time...mostly for the symbolic gesture rather than an investment.
New citizens have gone through a lot to have obtained their citizenship; A person born outside of the U.S. and not already a U.S. citizen may acquire U.S. citizenship through a process known as naturalization. They have to be at least eighteen years old and for 4 years and 9 months must be a permanent resident of the United States or 2 years, 9 months if they (a) acquired legal permanent resident status, (b) are married to and living with a citizen for the past 36 months and (c) the husband/wife has been a U.S. citizen for at least 36 months prior to the applicant applying for naturalization. They must be a "person of good moral character", and must take and pass a test on United States history and government and should also be conversant in the English.
